No fewer than eleven people have been rendered hospitalised after having too much to drink at the concert of Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa held in Nikon Jones Amphitheater in Wantagh, New York. Thirty-five persons were diagnosed with alcohol poisoning according to a report by TMZ . It was also stated that twenty-five of the persons were teenagers aged 18 years old.

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo, in reaction to the alleged budget padding allegations against Speaker Yakubu Dogara, has reportedly said that members of the House of Representatives are thieves. Obasanjo said the padding revelations corroborates his 2012 comments that the National Assembly as an institution filled with rogues and armed robbers. The former president was said to have stated this in a telephone interview with Premium Times. Obasanjo was quoted as saying: "That (budget padding) is criminal and they should be held accountable for it. There should be a showdown between what is right and what is wrong. After such a showdown, what is right will definitely prevail and the criminals will be put to shame. They are the contractors, the jury, the judge and prosecutors."
